Well, I only enjoy the games due to the amazing unofficial mods made for them.

My God... You go by gamespot as a legitimate source? Tsk.
Imo it's your PC. I checked on 3 computers, on none I had such a problem. After 3 hours of playing, it crashed 0 times. After 3 days, it crashed once. After 3 weeks... 3 times?

Oh, and I have OOO + like 20 other mods activated ;d

And I don't say Gamespot's reviews are good. They are often horrible and false (NwN 2 - lol better than NwN? Were they high? Or only 6.7 given to Rune, even it's a damn good TPP with unique ideas), but they also show reviews of other game sites and players. Players often are wrong, but if 9.3 from 63 webzines is not good enough for you... Then you are the problem.

Then it's everyone else's PC on ESF as well. Oblivion's quite the buggy game, and it's something you can't deny.

Did I ever hold Oblivion in disdain? Saying it's buggy doesnt mean I dislike it. However, saying 'gamespot doesn't lie' is more or less saying it's good and reigns over other reviewers. Besides, I read reviews after I play/watch a game, or movie.

Does it really matter that people's opinions differ from your own?

Well duh, it was you that said Gamespot sucks. Unless ,,tsk'' means something else. And usually out of 63 reviews there is at least one that shares your point of view.

Oblivion maybe is a bit buggy, but apart from seldom crashes, I don't know of any game-breaking bugs. Maybe that sometimes all Fur Armors loose meshes and they are pink, but so far it's only I've found. Oh, using patches is nice.

Nothing worse than Morrowboring though and it's romper room gameplay.
Well, How about Oblivion's Lore butchering, or it's generic Gondor clone?

I wouldn't say Guild Wars is king. But I do feel that it is a quality game. I love the artstyle of Guild Wars. I also enjoy doing both PVP and PVE with my guild. If I get bored I simply play another game, not like I have to worry about canceling/resubscribing with Guild Wars. I dare say there is not a better game on the market thats free to play and feels like a complete experience like Guild Wars. It has a clean interface and definately does not have that "cheap" feel to it. This game has its flaws (as all games do) but the good still outweighs the bad. I really am looking forward to Guild Wars 2 and I hope ArenaNet stays true to Guild Wars and doesnt turn it into Warcraft Wars.

I can't seem to rid the mental image of a person with your avatar as their face bobbing their head from side-to-side each time you make a snarky retort. You're that smug.

Heading ... Part way back to the topic at hand.

People still find Guild Wars fun. I don't see why you've had to constantly get on your high horse and slam down these people just because you've had the 'I find this game boring now.' epiphane. I'm bored of Guild Wars myself... So what?

I'd hate to reiterate, but not everyone is using Ursan Blessing and not everyone is an old-time player who's become bored of the game.

Oh, and did you say game breaking? Oblivion was packaged with this bug, and it took them until after the release of Shivering Isles (over a year), to fix it.

And likewise.

Do we slam people that think GW is not boring? Really? Haven't noticed, I was too busy being smug.

No $t, Sherlock. Just to see how many people are retired - check the old threads and look at usernames with titles different from ours. Like Chancellor title and such. They don't play, because honestly - if they do, they would at least visit Guru at least once since the new titles came. There would be no reason to make a new account on the forum, unless the old one was banned, but then there would be an info under user's name.

Voodoo magic, never happened to me, my friend, my cousin or anyone I know. Must be the $1000 I dip in the wishing wells every week and another thousand that goes to the gypsies.

Actually, Oblivion is HORRIBLE with alt+tab or XFire. Done at the wrong times, such as loading screens or travelling between towns, it's a guaranteed crash. I thought it was just me until 4 or 5 of my friends, who I convinced to buy it just because it is truly amazing (and was the first game in YEARS to have me addicted.)

Any other time, you pretty much minimise your chance of crashing quite significantly. Can still happen, but far less.

That's why you shouldn't in ANY game alt-tab when loading something. The main problem with alttabing in Oblivion is that game is really, really heavy on system resources. Because, for example, it usually weighs 200MB while other games from 2006 weigh (for example Hitman Blood Money) only 50-70MB. But that's what you get for huge, good looking areas.

What?

'Cause everyone updates their info on forums. God forbid new people join too. Where the hell do you pull all these statistics from, Abedeus? Wait - Don't tell me. It need not be said.

Nice work bypassing the censors. $t's a new one.
